He nodded and pressed a kiss to her lips. “I’ll be here at exactly the right time,” he promised. “Which I’ll need you to text me with Sunday night,” he added with a charming grin. “Love you.”

He nodded to the Berry men and headed out, his eyes shutting in both mortification and relief. As long as they didn’t call his mom, he was gonna be just fine.

She smiled at him, nodding her head. “Of course. I love you too.” She closed the door behind him, then turned around to see her fathers staring at her with their arms across their chests.

She chewed her lip while she played with the fabric of her pajamas, suddenly interested in the grand piano in the sitting room.

“You know you’re not completely off the hook yet.” Her head snapped in their direction. “We took your keys.” LeRoy finished. She groaned, stomping her foot. “But how am I supposed to get back and forth from ballet and home from school?”

“Your father and I will take you back and forth to ballet and Finn can drop you off at home after school. But that’s it. Grounding means grounding.”

She threw up her hands in the air, stomping her way towards the stairs, Hiram and LeRoy moving out of the way as she stomped passed. She went into her room and slammed the door behind her.

She threw herself on her bed reaching for her phone to send a text to Finn.

They took my keys!

He looked up at her with a half grin. “I definitely didn’t expect to be. I kinda thought your dad was gonna murder me. I mean, he’s super nice and stuff but he looks like he could tear a man down. And I’m not even really a man yet.”

He heard a throat clear and he chuckled slightly before standing up. “That’s my cue, I think,” he told her with a laugh before bending to press a sweet,s low kiss on her lips. “I love you and I’ll see you tomorrow.”

She pecked his lips one more, pulling away from him with her hands still attached to his collar. She rubbed her lips together before looking up at him. “Mmmhmm. I love you too and I’ll see you tomorrow.” She let go of his collar then clasped her hand with his, tugging his towards the door while walking by her dads.

She turned to look at them while Finn was fishing out his car keys. “Is he still allowed to pick me up for school.” Hiram and LeRoy looked at each other before LeRoy responded, nodding his head. “Yes, but he’s to go home right after.”

She nodded her head in response before turning back to Finn. “So I’ll see you on Monday morning then?”

He turned to her as soon as her dads were gone. “In my defense, they never told me I wasn’t allowed to have sex with you. I mean, sure, the sneaking in was kinda bad but they didn’t call me on that so we’re gonna pretend they didn’t care about that part.”

He sighed and pulled her into a hug. “Sorry I got you grounded. But at least they aren’t keeping me away from you completely. And we still have school and stuff. But I really am sorry.”

She rolled her eyes playfully at him “Of course that’s the only thing you got from this lecture.” She accepted his hug, her eyes shut in contentment. She opened them when she pulled away and looked into his eyes with a sigh.

“It’s okay. I expected as much. It’s going to be really hard but we can do it. I’ll just really miss our random cuddle sessions.” She pouted with a huff then stood up from the loveseat, standing in front of him with her hands on his shoulders and standing between his legs.

“At least you’re still in one place.”
